In January 2017 we hosted two book launches for our first Art Series title, Art, Trade and Culture in the Islamic World and Beyond: From the Fatimids to the Mughals, in Old Cairo and the Bibliotheca Alexandria Conference Center, along with a lecture on ‘Antiquity in Medieval Egypt: The Testimony in Text and Stone’ by Professor Doris Behrens-Abouseif from Department of the History of Art and Archaeology, SOAS.
The event in Cairo was held as a part of series of cultural and artistic events in the Maqad of Sultan Qaitbey organised by ARCHiNOS Architecture in cooperation with Historic Cairo Project of the Ministry of Antiquities.
